'Pops love you': Young father of 2 killed during fist fight at Louisiana bar

A Louisiana man’s family is grieving this week after he was killed in a bar fight.
Devin Repath, 26, was in a fist fight early Saturday morning at a bar in Baton Rouge, according to a news release from the Baton Rouge Police Department.
The fight broke out around 1:18 that morning at Fred's Bar & Grill. Repath was hit and knocked unconscious, then taken to the hospital where he later died, police said.
Community raises money for surviving family
Repath leaves behind a partner and two children, social media posts show. Loved ones started a GoFundMe to raise money for his family, calling him “a devoted partner” and father and the life of the party.
“In the wake of this tragedy, we are committed to ensuring that Shey, Melo, and Liam are supported as they face the unimaginable task of navigating life without Dev,” wrote GoFundMe organizer Josh Pantoja. “Our goal is to alleviate any financial burdens that may arise now and in the future, enabling them to focus on healing and preserving Devin’s memory.”
As of Tuesday afternoon, the GoFundMe has raised just over $49,000.
Repath's father, JP Repath, runs DJ Mafia Music Entertainment and shared Venmo information on his business page for those who want to donate outside of GoFundMe.
His father shared memories of his son after his passing and in one post, vowed to be there for his two young grandchildren.
He said he isn’t sure what happened to his son.
“It's being investigated right now,” JP Repath wrote. “Please keep sharing stories about my son … I LOVE YOU SON..... POPS LOVES YOU THE WORLD.”
In one video he shared, his son is seen dancing, smiling and circling the room as people join in and laugh in the background.
